By some accounts 40% of Huffbunnies now affected by lycanthropy. Packs of blinded raccoons hunting in broad daylight. But the Trainwreck must go on!

What made it all possible is that there was a repertory of popular songs and jazz tunes going back to the early years of the twentieth century that most Americans were familiar with and enjoyed hearing.

Huffbunny History, Part 2
Wednesday Feb. 18, 2015: We ran through Blueberry Hill, Dark as a Dungeon, Hello Dolly, High Wide & Handsome, January Hymn, Live Forever, Minotaur Song, Never Ending Song of Love, Tennessee Jed, Wear Your Love Like Heaven, and maybe one or two others.
Wednesday Feb 27, 2015: Full trio last night [the Trainwreck was originally just Jon, Doyle, Steve] plus Michael Hearst [first time!], who brought washboard (as promised) and a guitar. Fun all around. Some things were pretty good and some really sucked. Jon was happy to have a real player. Doyle came loaded for bear with a stack of new songs – Tennessee Border, Good Christian Soldier, and Draft Dodger Rag among them.

Huffbunny history: Jan 28, 2015
I told Doyle, last night, that I was going through old journals extracting Huffbunny history. I said I would remove anything snooty before showing anyone. He said not to. We’ll find the middle path…

Tuesday night, as the snow started falling and the wind was whipping I met up with Jon Fab and Doyle at Skylark and we went over our lists of songs. As expected, most of theirs were downer (Doyle) and political (Jon) and mine were largely love & fun. Not 100% across the board, maybe we each have one exception. I’ve rejiggered my list again and again. Right now the only tune I’m really sure of is Never Ending Song of Love, Delaney and Bonnie style. We’re planning on meeting tonight and each run through one tune.
