Let there be lights…

Huffbunny Jim has kicked off a fundraising campaign to pay for professional lighting inside The Tank.

I’m writing to ask if you’ll help The Tank with a project. The Tank is a world-class sonic resource, with concert facilities and a beautiful new recording studio. But it has no lights.
Or rather, it has our homemade clubhouse lighting – clip lamps and Christmas lights. This coming season promises to be our biggest yet, with nationally-known artists, important guests, and a full suite of programs and recording sessions.
Will you help buy professional lighting for the Tank?

Miller, founder and frontman of the Deedle Deedle Dees and longtime Jalopy performer for children and adults. There will also be shows on February 16th and March 15th (and more yet to be scheduled). All shows begin at 11am. There is a $10 suggested donation per person but families can pay what they wish.”

Sweet Harmony

For the second time in a couple of years I picked up a 50’s/60’s all mahogany Chicago made Harmony tenor uke on the street.  The first, a few years back, was set out for trash and in rough shape, a crack or two, missing its nut, and the wood pretty weathered: a good project piece.  But today, set out for someone to take home and love, was an instrument in good shape and in its original brown duck case.  (Took 15 minutes just to get it out of the case – might have been in there for decades.)  Cleaned up, strung & whoopee!
